History

        　The department of finance at National Pingtung Institute of Commence (NPIC), the first finance department in Taiwan’s junior college, including two-year (after high school) and five-year (after junior high school) programs, was established in 1991. To fit the requirement of working students, the two- year evening class program was established in 1992.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, NPIC was switching from junior college to four-year college in 1998. At the same year, the two-year program for junior and senior students (after junior college) was first established in the finance department. The four-year evening class program and regular four-year program was then established in 2000 and 2003 respectively. Starts from 2003, the department consists solely of four-year programs. In 2010, the department consists of master program.
